About Dr. Cham's Clinic
Dr. Cham completed residency training in 2007 and has gained experience in three provinces. The clinic is located on the main floor of the Central Alberta Professional Center, just to the west of the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

Cathy joined Dr. Cham's office in 2013 and plays an integral role as office manager.

Dr. Cham serves as the Zone Clinical Department Lead for Alberta Health Service's central zone. This includes overseeing obstetrical and gynecological services within the zone (see the AHS website for further details).

How Do I Access the Clinic?
Appointments are made upon referral from a family physician or walk in clinic physician. Once we have received a referral the office will contact you directly for an appointment.

How Long Will I Wait for an Appointment?
All referrals are directly reviewed and triaged based on medical urgency. We strive to see all referrals in a timely fashion, and we are grateful for your patience and co-operation if you wait longer than you had hoped for! We will certainly try our best to accommodate specific needs.

How Do I Change or Cancel an Appointment?
Once an appointment has been made, you can change your time by calling the office directly. Please be respectful of everyone who is waiting for an appointment and provide us with 24 hrs advance notice of an appointment change or cancellation.

What Happens if I Miss an Appointment?
We are respectful of your busy and changing lives, as well as the unpredictable nature of the winter weather in central Alberta. In general, we will reschedule a missed appointment. However, a $50 fee will be charged for multiple missed appointments or same-day cancellations. Please be respectful of our time and of the other patients waiting to be seen.

What Happens if I Miss a Scheduled Surgical Procedure?
The waiting time for surgical procedures in central Alberta is inappropriately lengthy. This is outside of our control. As many are very willing to fill a last-minute cancellation, we ask all women with ANY questions about whether her surgery should proceed as planned to CALL the office as soon as possible. Any missed (ie, no-show) surgical appointments will be asked to place a deposit prior to being re-scheduled.
